教室再開

2020年5月21日コロナによる緊急事態解除により片山先生の木曜教室が再開となった。4月2日から1か月半の休みの間、残しておいた花材と路傍から拝借してきた野草とで活け続けた。ただ、5月10日の母の日にはカーネーションとかすみ草を買ってきて活けた。外出自粛や館内での様々な活動中止の中、居住者から、変化があるのは唯一この生け花なので癒された、毎回楽しみにしている、などの声をいただいた。

母の日のカーネーションの生け花には、自分のために活けてくれたと嬉しかった、自分で買わずにこの生け花で満足した、など男性を含め多くの方から"ありがとう”といわれた。この生け花を見て短歌を詠んでくださった方がいらした。「カーネーション　老いの住処に活けてあり　母なる人に母恋う人に」

The Thursday class by Katayama-sensei has been resumed on May 21, 2020, according to the release from Emergency by Covid 19. During closing of classes for one month and a half, I had made arrangements using left materials and natural grasses. Only for "Mother's day", I bought carnations and baby's breath.

While restriction of going-out and cancellation of all activities, residents told me that they were healed by my arrangements or to see those arrangements were solo comfort for them.

I was appreciated for the "Mother's day" arrangement by many residents including men saying various expressions. One of them made a TANKA, Japanese traditional short poem consisted only 31 sound.

" Carnations are arranged in a senior house, for the people who are mothers and for the people who yearn for their mothers"
